Kubota Expands M Series Line

Advanced Technology to Provide More Power

TORRANCE, Calif., January 2006 Kubota Tractor Corporation’s (KTC) mid-size diesel tractor line just became bigger and better with the introduction of the M95S/M105S Wide Cab, M105S Low Profile, and M95S/M105S Open-Station ROPS tractors.

To increase operator comfort, the new M95S and M105S Wide Cab will now include a cab that is 5.70 inches wider and features 1.7 inches in increased headroom. These models also include an optional LCD readout that displays travel speed and PTO rpm.

Designed for low-clearance applications such as orchard work, the M105S Low Profile tractor features “pure orchard” styling and adjustable height fenders. Some of the new dimensions include a 69-inch height with ROPS folded down and an 84.25-inch width from the outer sides of the tires.

The new Open-Station ROPS models have upgraded styling and comfort features, and a wider, flatter operator’s platform. Included is a foot-operated tilt wheel, more-accessible control console and deluxe adjustable seat for enhanced operator comfort. A new heavy-duty, deluxe fiberglass canopy is also available.

The new M Series models have more muscle; with a turbo-charged diesel engine utilizing a four-valve Center Direct Injection System (E-CDIS), it produces higher torque rise for greater pulling power. The M105S comes with a waste gate controlled turbocharger and intercooler to maximize horsepower output, while the M95S shares the same high output V3800 diesel engine with waste gate controlled turbocharger. The M105S engine is rated at 105 net horsepower (hp) and a PTO output of 93 hp; the M95S has 95 net horsepower and a PTO output of 84 hp. Pulling a heavy load is easier with this refined, well-crafted engine that delivers the highest level of reliability and power output.

Both the M95S and M105S come standard with a fully synchronized main and hydraulic shuttle transmission. The hydraulic shuttle shift can be easily accessed by a finger-operated, steering column-mounted lever, allowing the operator to shift smoothly from forward to reverse without using a clutch or stopping the tractor. With the highly reliable Swing Shift transmission operator has a choice of 16F/16R speeds. Swing Shift Plus with Dual Speed Changer is also available on the M95S and M105S. This advanced technology allows the operator to choose between 32 forward and 32 reverse speeds, helping to increase productivity even more. There are also cassette type creep speed options for 24F/24R or 48F/48R speeds.

The M95S and M105S rely on a multiple wet-disc hydraulic main clutch for long life. Plus, operator fatigue is reduced thanks to the Hydraulic-Independent PTO.

Operator comfort and safety are always a high priority with Kubota. The M95S and M105S Wide Cab are equipped with a ROPS certified cab that comes standard with deluxe suspension seat and air conditioning. The cab is pre-wired with antenna and speakers for optimal AM/FM radio/cassette or CD, with seven channel weather band. Two cold weather models are also available with additional features such as 80 amp alternator, side and rear defoggers, rear wiper, and second remote valve.

The front-loader operation is controlled with a single-lever joystick, and mechanical self-leveling linkage maintains the bucket angle automatically. The 4-bar bucket linkage increases the rollback and dumping angle for quicker scooping and dumping. As a standard feature on the LA1301S loader, a quick coupler allows the operator to attach and detach a variety of skid steer-type attachments including the pallet fork, bale spear, and buckets. Attaching and detaching the front loader is extremely user friendly with the use of the boom stands and two mounting pins.

Kubota Tractor Corporation markets a complete line of tractors up to 103 PTO horsepower, along with a line of performance-matched implements, utility vehicles, construction equipment, consumer lawn and garden equipment, and commercial turf products.
