KUBOTA’S KX91-3 A New Generation of Compact Excavators |

TORRANCE, Calif. -- For more than 30 years, Kubota Tractor Corporation has responded to the needs of contractors for smaller, more agile compact excavators to work in confined spaces. Kubota continues to respond with the KX91-3. This compact excavator builds upon Kubota’s respected diesel engine and design technologies to help contractors perform more precise operations in tight places. “The KX91-3 Compact Excavator improves on the well earned reputation of our KX-2 models,” said Keith Rohrbacker, Construction Equipment Product Manager, Kubota Tractor Corporation. “It’s built for tough work, not to be tough on the operator. With unique styling, performance and operator comfort features, the KX-3 gives big excavator performance in the confined areas where our customers work.” The boom, arm and bucket all function simultaneously through harmonized cylinder speeds that allow these functions to complete their cycles together. Productivity is increased when trenching, loading trucks or lifting, because boom, arm, bucket and house swing circuits work simultaneously without loss of speed or power. A dedicated bucket and quick-coupler can be used for a bucket breakout force in excess of 8,000-lbs. The maximum digging depth is 10’6” with a maximum vertical digging depth of 8’1”. Maximum dumping height is 11’11”. Bi-directional auxiliary hydraulic controls come standard. Piping is routed through the arm and short hoses are used to prevent hoses from catching on sharp edges. For operator comfort, the KX91-3 offers OSHA certified ROPS/FOPS protection and comes with a full-featured suspension seat with six way adjustment and retractable seat belts. Lower sound levels through engine compartment insulation and baffling reduce operator fatigue and allow for operations in more congested and inhabited areas any time of the day or night. |
