TORRANCE, Calif.--Kubota Tractor Corporation designed the ZG Series of gas powered zero turn mowers. The ZG20 has 20 hp and a 48” mower, and the ZG23 has 23 hp and a 54” mower deck. The ZG mowers extend the Kubota zero turn line with an economical gas unit that appeals to homeowners and commercial operators. Powerful performance and a sleek design set the ZG apart from other zero turns.

Operational performance is achieved with a Kohler Command Pro gas, two-cylinder air-cooled engine. Kubota matches this engine with its own external air intake system for maximum airflow. Kubota’s exclusive one-piece integral Hydrostatic Transmission (HST) operates on a shaft drive with no belts, providing exceptional durability. Wet multi-plate disc brakes produce a reliable brake force.
The ZG Series cuts with a commercial grade, heavy duty, 10-gauge steel deck. A deep deck design allows more airflow circulation through the blades enabling a higher quality cut at a faster rate. This easy attach/detach deck has a quarter inch cutting height adjustment dial allowing increments of one- to five-inch heights.

An optional grass catcher with an eight-bushel capacity fits directly over the hood keeping the overall length of the ZG mower the same. The easy installation mulching kit is available on both models.

When driving over debris or obstacles, the hydraulic mower lift system is easily operated with a convenient foot pedal for lifting the mowing deck. Both the parking brake and the brake pedal are engaged with the operator’s feet, leaving his/her hands free to steer and control speed. The control/instrument panel is located on the right side of the operator’s seat making operation easy, quick and safe.

Maintenance is made easy with Kubota’s exclusive lift mechanism that allows the operator to raise the mower deck with no tools. The operator’s seat lifts up giving full access to the transmission and the full-open hood gives quick and easy access to the engine.

The wide steps and open platform allow the operator to get on and off the mower easily and comfortably. There’s a deluxe seat, armrests and even a standard cup holder and fuel gauge. Foldable OSHA certified ROPS and a retractable seatbelt are standard equipment on Kubota’s ZG Series.
