TORRANCE,
Calif. -- Kubota Corporation (Japan), the global leader in compact tractors,
construction/utility equipment and specialized turf products announces
the appointment of Tetsuji "Mike" Tomita to the company's Board of Directors.
Kubota equipment, recognized worldwide for advanced machinery technologies,
offers segment-leading niche technologies suited to agricultural, industrial
and recreational applications in the United States.
Tomita
was appointed President, Kubota Tractor Corp. (KTC) in 2004. He previously
served as President of Kubota's European operation and as General Manager,
Kubota Export Department in Japan along with additional Kubota experience
in the United States. Tomita's Board appointment reflects his executive
experience and the growing importance of KTC and the North American market
for Kubota Corporation.
Well regarded for his commitment to uncompromising customer support, Tomita
will soon dedicate KTC's newest regional facility in Groveport, Ohio.
The planned opening of Kubota's Northern Division in Ohio follows a similar
plant dedication in Lodi, Calif. in May 2005. The opening of Kubota's
new Western Division marks the fourth facility improvement in less than
three year.
With products ranging from professional-grade mowers, to the successful
RTV utility vehicle, specialized construction equipment and a broad range
of tractors and implements, the Kubota brand is recognized for performance
and durability.
KTC will soon mark the retailing of its one-millionth Kubota unit in the
United States. Kubota recently celebrated its thirtieth year in business
in the U.S., now with more than 1,000 Kubota dealers in the United States.
