Weighing & Measuring
Control Systems

Kubota's origin lies in “weighing and measuring.” In 1890, the company started from producing cast iron weights for scales. In 1924, we acquired the license for manufacturing scales and expanded our business to include mechanical platform scales. Since then, the “weighing and measuring” business has been passed on, evolving for 90 plus years.
We are always at the forefront of technological development to support diverse industrial weighing needs. Kubota, which has been contributing to the development of Japan's craftsmanship, is highly recognized both at home and abroad for devices and systems that put state-of-the-art weighing and measuring technologies to practical use. Particularly, groundbreaking products such as the gravimetric feeder “NX Feeder Series” and plastic pellet screening system “Super PLATON Series” have become a new trend at the production line.
Kubota will continue to strive to provide innovative technologies for weigh and control that exceed customer expectations.

Features

  • Over 10,000 Order from Over 10 Countries Around the World

Kubota was the first in Japan to develop a loss-in-weight feeder in 1981. The feeder delivers solid material at a given rate and is used mainly in processing plastic. It can handle various types of materials, including pellet, powder and also liquid. We have shipped over 10,000 of these feeders, 2,000 of which are overseas.

  • Over 10,000 Tests at FTC

To assure our customers, we borrow materials from customers for performance testing at our FTC (Feeder Technical Center). We have conducted over 10,000 tests, including one on the latest nanopowder, offering the best solutions to our customers' needs. The FTCs and testing equipment are located in Japan and seven other Asian countries.

  • Contributing to Quality Improvement of Plastic Products

Applying our technology developing rice pellet separators, we invented the first plastic pellet separator in Japan. The separator removes minute contaminants, sorting them out by their color. Thus, Kubota contributes to the quality improvement of Japanese and overseas material manufacturers, who produce high-performance engineering plastic, film, etc.

Lineup

”NX Feeder Series” is the new feeder that Kubota gathered our Material handling know-how over 30years.You can find the best feeder for your process from wide range of models. And all products are made in Japan.

Our Technologies

  • Stable Control by Diagonal Agitator Structure

Less material vertical motion because agitator rotates very close to hopper and gives less effect on weight value. It realizes stable feeding.

  • Negative Wall Angle Structure

Improvement of anti-bridging function because material compression decreased by negative wall angle design. It handles wide material applications.

  • Structure for High Screw Fill of Material

Structure for High Screw Fill of Material Improved of screw fill of material because agitator pushes material into screw part. Compare to our conventional equipment, it achieves accurate and constant material flow.

  • New Camera Scanning System

Major development made in resolving detection error by improvements of internal structure like camera and lighting layout compared with conventional system.

  • Omni diffusion lighting system and Flat LED back lighting system

Adopted Omni diffusion lighting system as reflection lighting source for the material and Flat LED back lighting system as transmission lighting source. High screening accuracy has been realized by improving the number of detection error and eliminating the shadow created around transparent pellet with a variety of shapes.

  • High-Speed Scanning Rate

Adopting newly developed engine for picture treatment. Making it possible to detect foreign particle by increasing scan rate and improving detecting resolution of vertical flow direction.
