Kubota’s origins lie in weighing and measuring. Beginning with the production of cast-iron weights in 1890 and earning our official license to manufacture scales in 1924, our weighing business is built on a proud heritage that has continued to evolve for over a century.

Today, highly accurate material feeding is essential not only in plastics and resin manufacturing but across an increasingly diverse range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, rechargeable batteries, and food processing. In 2022, Kubota acquired Brabender Technologie GmbH & Co. KG (now Kubota Brabender Technologie GmbH), a leading provider of gravimetric feeders in the European and North American markets. This acquisition has allowed us to expand our capabilities on a global scale. We are also continually advancing the development of application-specific solutions, such as feeders specifically designed for handling recycled materials.

Over 20,000 Feeders Shipped Worldwide

Kubota was the first in Japan to develop a loss-in-weight feeder in 1981. The feeder delivers solid materials precisely at a specified rate and is used in a wide range of industries, including plastics compounding, food processing, pharmaceuticals, battery manufacturing, recycling, and many others. Designed primarily for bulk solids such as pellets and powders, our feeders are also available in models for liquids. We have shipped over 20,000 of these feeders worldwide(as of March 2026).
Over 50,000 Tests at FTC

To assure our customers, we borrow materials from customers for performance testing at our FTC (Feeder Technical Center). We have conducted over 50,000 tests extending over 12,000 materials, offering the best solutions to our customers' needs. The FTCs and sales network are located in Japan and eight other Asian countries.
A Further Expanded Product Lineup

In 2022, Kubota acquired all outstanding shares of Brabender Technologie GmbH & Co. KG, a Germany-headquartered global manufacturer of gravimetric feeders, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. By integrating the technologies and sales networks of both companies, we have expanded our product lineup to support a wider array of industries and raw materials than ever before, including pharmaceuticals and recycled materials.
As the global trend toward manufacturing automation drives anticipated growth in the gravimetric feeder market, Kubota is accelerating its business expansion to support manufacturing operations on a global scale.

Stable Control by Diagonal Agitator Structure

Less material vertical motion because agitator rotates very close to hopper and gives less effect on weight value. It realizes stable feeding.
Negative Wall Angle Structure

Improvement of anti-bridging function because material compression decreased by negative wall angle design. It handles wide material applications.
Structure for High Screw Fill of Material

Improved of screw fill of material because agitator pushes material into screw part. Compare to our conventional equipment, it achieves accurate and constant material flow.
