Kubota Obtained the Highest-Rating in “CDP Water Security Program 2021”

Kubota Corporation (Head Office: Naniwa-ku, Osaka, Japan; President and Representative Director: Yuichi Kitao; hereinafter, “Kubota”) has been identified as the Highest-Rated “A-List Company” in “CDP*1 Water Security Program 2021*2”, a research concerning water security. Kubota was recognized as a global leader in its business strategy, action and disclosure regarding water security. This is the third consecutive year and the fourth time that Kubota has been selected as “A-list” for water security.
Kubota has been striving to solve problems in the field of “food, water and the environment” with the brand statement "For Earth, For Life". Since its foundation in 1890, Kubota has widely supplied products from intake water to wastewater, including iron pipes for water supply, valves, pumps and water treatment facilities to contribute to the improvement of water infrastructure in the world. Also in the field of “food,” Kubota supplies agricultural water piping materials and system of water level management for rice farming.
The Environmental Vision published in May 2021 showed that Kubota will contribute to the realizing a carbon-neutral and resilient society while challenging to achieve zero environmental impact. In the future, as economic development progresses in society and the impacts of climate change increase, it is expected that various water-related risks will also increase. Kubota can contribute to strengthening the water infrastructure by providing Kubota’s water management technology and products to address these issues. In addition to the proper management of industrial wastewater, Kubota has been working to reduce water consumption by conserving water and recycling wastewater at its business sites.
The supply of secure and safe water and construction of water treatment facilities have a significant contribution on human health, food production and economic activities. Also, these are necessary to achieve the goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections.
