Kubota Makes Second Investment in U.S Based AgTech Startup FarmX, Inc., Providing Precise Farm Management, Irrigation Automation and Yield Management Services

Kubota Corporation (Head Office: Naniwa-ku, Osaka, Japan; President and Representative Director: Yuichi Kitao; hereinafter, "Kubota") has additionally invested in FarmX, Inc. (hereinafter, "FarmX"), U.S. based AgTech startup.

FarmX offers the leading farm management solution to maximize yield in specialty crops. FarmX collects the most granular and accurate data on the local weather, crop, its canopy and stress conditions, soil and irrigation systems. Using this accurate data and AI technology, FarmX provides growers with a end-to-end solutions, including detailed analysis of any problems in farm, optimized automated irrigation plans, predictions of yields and proper harvesting time. As a result, farmers who have implemented FarmX’s services are able to boost their earnings as their yields increase while resource cost, labor costs and water/electricity usage are reduced.

This additional investment will enable FarmX's business expansion, and enable Kubota to cement ties with FarmX and accelerate the development of platforms for realizing precision farming for specialty crops, thus contributing to efficiency and profitability enhancement in farm management.
