Volleyball Team "Kubota Spears Osaka"

Kubota Spears Osaka, which belongs to the Japan Volleyball League, conducts social contribution activities linked to the SDGs in various regions, primarily in the city of Osaka, Japan, where the Kubota Head Office is located. Having adopted the team vision of "Connecting Hearts“, the team endeavors both to win matches, and through their social contribution activities such as volleyball classes and interaction events, to become a valuable presence for the local community and residents.

Kubota Spears Osaka carries out its social contribution activities in various regions, primarily in the city of Osaka, where a partnership agreement was signed in 2020, and in Naniwa Ward in the city of Osaka, where the team signed a memorandum of cooperation in 2024.

The wide range of social contribution activities that Kubota Spears Osaka is involved in includes the following examples.

Kubota Spears Osaka holds volleyball classes in various locations, primarily in the city of Osaka, with the aim of further popularizing volleyball and promoting sports.

Current players and staff members have served as instructors and provided direct volleyball instruction to participants ranging from children to adults. In addition to providing technical explanations and advice through demonstrations and commentary, they also deepened interactions with participants through question-and-answer sessions. The aim is not only for participants to learn that volleyball is fun, but also to help them realize the importance and the interest of working together as a team.

Through volleyball classes, Kubota Spears Osaka will continue to contribute to the further popularization of volleyball, the healthy development of children, and the promotion of local sports.

Kubota Spears Osaka participates in the Exploration and Reading Comprehension Project organized by the Osaka Municipal Board of Education. In this project working with local businesses and organizations, the Osaka Municipal Board of Education aims to foster children's thinking, judgment, expression, and learning abilities through exploratory and hands-on activities. Kubota Spears Osaka has held volleyball classes and "enjoy sports”-themed on-site classes.

Not only have on-site classes introduced the company and the team, they have also introduced the content and significance of Kubota Spears Osaka activities, including the importance of teamwork as well as the work the players and staff perform. In addition, in the group work held at the end of the classes, responding to the "What does the current Kubota Spears Osaka team need now?" topic, the students themselves discussed and proposed ideas for attracting customers for the game.

Through participating in local educational projects, we will continue to contribute to the development and improvement of student thinking, independence, and teamwork even as we relate the appeal of volleyball.
