Kubota manages Kubota Inclusion Works as a special subsidiary of the Kubota Group with the aim of supporting self-reliance for people with disabilities, local community coexistence, and revitalizing Japanese agriculture by utilizing idle farmland. For Kubota, whose mission is to improve agricultural efficiency, and to steadily provide and supply safe and secure food through its corporate activities, the conservation of the natural environment in rural areas is an extremely important social role. With this in mind, Kubota Inclusion Works produces and sells hydroponically grown vegetables on formerly idle farmland in the district of Minamikawachi, Osaka Prefecture.
Safe and secure Sun-Vege vegetables are grown with fewer agricultural chemicals, are stably produced and supplied regardless of the season. Locations where these vegetables are shipped include Kubota Group company cafeterias, neighboring municipality school lunch centers, large-scale supermarkets, and Michi-no-Eki roadside rest areas. The vegetable brand is recognized and widely supported by local people.
Through these activities, as we strive to revitalize agriculture in Japan, we will provide a wide range of people with various disabilities with employment opportunities and create a work environment where employees can perform their jobs enthusiastically.
